OUR STORY
BAC Logistics was established when current Founder and CEO, Broughton Amiss (originally from Natal), with extensive retail management experience, was called to then called Johannesburg International Airport to assist a failing duty-free outlet in 1998.
The project saw immediate success resulting in more than triple the revenue growth in just 3 months. The then owner of the duty-free outlet offered Broughton a permanent position in Johannesburg within the company. Broughton relocated to Johannesburg and was thereafter appointed as the Chairman of the Merchants’ Association at ACSA (Airports Company of South Africa), heading up the Retail Division at OR Tambo International Airport.
